I had another wonderful weekend but Monday started with a BIG stack of work to do. How am I going to get it done? It is almost harder to have a break if it means the shock of coming back to so much to do!
I reflected on what made the weekend so great. It was a time of listening, studying and reading about God. So I thought, why not continue that instead of changing my focus?
So I pressed into God for strength and I felt He showed me to flow with Him through all the work. Then I looked at my memory verse for the week.
Col 2:7 Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
My part is to let my roots grow strong in Him and the continual focus (abiding) and giving thanks will keep me flowing. No pressure, striving or pushing myself in my own strength. Look at Matthew 11:28 in the Message Version:
Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
